K has been an awesome night sleeper for a few months now, but these past two nights have been pure hell. I know there are a few factors that could be contributing to the problem:
1. She spent the weekend at my parent's house
2. She started real solid food (sweet potatoes)
I am just so, so tired. She was up almost every hour from midnight to 6:30am and before that she refused to go down. Took me two hours and even then I had to let her CIO for a few minutes before she passed out.
Please tell me this is NOT a phase and that it's just a combo of the two things listed above. I cannot handle too many more of these sleepless nights, especially since my husband won't be home until the weekend.
Re: Why is she not sleeping?
I sent you a PM since you weren't on when I got back online last night.
Sigh...a few months is not good news. I hate to think about Ferberizing since I'm the one putting her to bed most days (please, please let my husband get a new job!!), but if that's what we have to do that's what we have to do.
Steer the course.
Just keep doing what you've always done, don't start any new habits. Accomodate whatever is causing it (teething, belly ache, etc. ) but if you start a new way of sleeping and nite time activities and such now, you won't get back to how you all were.
I'm also a fan of motrin. Just because. ;-)

Can you start that at 6 months? Because I'm going to Target tonight and have no qualms about picking some up!
I just tried to respond to your PM but I am getting an error?? I will try again later.
Hopefully you will not have to resort to CIO. 5 1/2 months is still a little young and I will admit the 1st 2 nights we tough but it has dramatically improved her sleep. The one thing I thought of is Katie taking less formula/BM now that she is on solids. Maybe she is a little hungry at night. Make sure she is getting enough during the day. Good luck.
ugh I'm sorry
Don't take any sleep advice for me
but I hope it gets better soon!
