Just got stuck in the stairwell at work!

Wow, that was really embarassing!

I work in a very large building in the city, you need a badge to get about anywhere here. Stupid me, leaves my desk and forgets my badge. Well I have learned that you can get into the stairwell without a badge, but not back out! Of course I am here really early so no one is even in the office. Even if they were they would never be able to hear me from the stairwell.

So after wandering through 40 floors of stairs I was able to find an intercom and call someone in the lobby...about 15 minutes later the person came to rescue me. He must have thought I was a moron. But that was scary!!! (ANd funny). At least I got some early morning exercise!!

    I have a similar situation....I cannot get stuck in the stairwell, but it's pretty embarrassing to have to find someone to call to let you in when my badge is sitting in plain view on my desk.

    I totally would have panicked and gotten freaked out and scared.  Stuff like that scares the spit out of me!

    FORTY floors of stairs????  my gosh!  i guess the bright side is, better to be stuck in stairwell than an elevator!  glad you got out!

    LO #2 - 1 m/c, 2 BFNs, 4th IUI worked (unmedicated/self-monitored with new donor sperm).
    Life is beautiful!

    Oh my gosh I am so sorry! Glad someone got you out!

    Once at my old job I locked myself in the records room - I decided to close the door behind me while I worked in there for some "me" time but then realized that I couldn't get out from the inside. I literally screamed forever and then figured out that the doors were flimsy so I stuck my hand through and was able to stick the key in from the outside. Totally scary. I was late for happy hour that day and people were like, where were you? DOH.
