Success after IF

Does this mean Cal's brilliant??

so, this morning before we left for the day, cal dumped the entire bowl of cat food all over the floor.  that was fun.  Indifferent  he was kind of playing with while it i was getting our stuff ready and eventually i watched him pick up a piece of cat food and very deliberately drop it into his slipper (which was also on the floor, not his feet). this evening i was telling dh about it and he said "huh, the first thing he did when we got home was pick up his slipper and peer inside of it."

should i start saving for early college entry now??

(seriously, i have no idea if this is typical for a 15-month-old, but it impressed me!  then again, the 2 parts of the story could be unrelated...i choose to believe they are. Wink)

Childhood cancer (DH) + chemo + radiation = 0 sperm.

  • Of course it means he's brilliant! :)
  • Loading the player...
  • haha, I think that is great!  Reed has a great memory too.  But only for the things he WANTS to remember...where I put his soother, where the good toys are, where the good snacks are...how to manipulate the child locks.

  • Of course he's brilliant!  :)

I think that things like that are common for this age, although maybe it is just that Ava is brilliant, too!  She hides things inside my boots or in boxes and then goes back to find them later.  The worst part is that when she sees a pacifier (which we are phasing out and only allow at nap and bedtime), she will remember for DAYS where she saw it and will bring us to the spot, yelling "that!  that!  that!"

    HA!  that's too cute!

this was the first time i witnessed cal's longer-term memory at work (other than with permantly-located things), so it was pretty cool.

  • Memory like this is common in toddlers.  It is amazing how much learning they do right now.  I think Lilah is brilliant too.  :)
