Why are my thighs sore?

I know there were a bunch of posts tonight about some ladies having sore legs. Well, mine are sore too, like I just did a ton of lunges, but I didn't. Why is this? It's so strange. Is it from carrying around extra weight or something? I can't figure it out.

    My midwife always asks me if my upper legs hurt....she says it can be a sign of early labor and you are 38 weeks! Ill cross my fingers for you!

    I hope not! ..My inner thighs  were sore for a good three or four days the pain just went away yesterday it came out of nowhere when I woke up one day..made walking annoying and getting up from a chair and out of bed also a pain..but like I said its gone..I didnt think anything of it..I thought maybe I just slept wrong..

    But is PP says is correct, good luck for you! :)

    I was wondering the same thing.  Mine are absolutely killing me.  It feels like I have had some serious rough sex or something for hours.  According to my NST, I am not having contractions, so no sign of labor for me, but I also am wondering what would cause this.  Is it a sign that my LO could be dropping lower?
