s/o monitors: Anyone still use their Angelcare?

We've never had a big problem with the false alarms... only a few now and then when DS would crawl up into a ball in the corner. Most of the time I forget we still have the motion sensor on, but the warning sound came on last night and I had to move him out of the corner, no big deal. I know a lot of people stopped using the setting when LOs were younger... anyone else still use it?

  • We dont use the motion sensor any longer - just the light and the monitor.

  • Yup and I am seriously addicted.  We bought a second one for the new baby because I was having anxiety about not usng it for DS #1 any more.  I know...ridiculous.  My kids will be 14 and I'll still be using them.

Glad I'm not the only one! DH thinks I'm crazy... but I feel the same way!

  • DD is 18 months and we still use ours. With the motion sensor. We get false alarms alot, because she moves into the corners so much, but I dont care. I guess I am addicted too.

  • We had to give ours up.  There were just too many false alarms.  We even adjusted and then re-adjusted the settings to no avail.  We do still have the video monitor and that is all the security I need right now.  I originally just wanted to use angelcare until he was a year and it worked out to be about that.
  • We do.  The alarm rarely goes off.  We're going to continue using it until the new baby comes and then she will get this monitor and we will get a sound one for Charlotte.  We're in our basement or outside a lot and I'm afraid we wouldn't hear her.
  • yep we still use ours and I dread having to give it up.  I'm completely addicted.
  • I would still be using ours but he found the cord going from the sensor pad to the monitor and unplugged it during nap one day and I walked in to see the cord in the crib with him.  Scary.  Since then we took it out.  It took some time for me to get used to it, but I'm okay with it now.  I will definitely be using it for #2.
  • DS is 18.5 months old and we still use ours.
