Working Moms

Keep your fingers crossed for me please!

I'm starting to potty train DS tomorrow and taking all of next week off to do it. I really hope it works. I wanted to make sure I really focused on it and my daycare isn't able to train him....so it's up to me. Has anyone else taken off work to do it and had success? Part of me thinks i'm setting myself up for disappointment since i took time off and might be putting pressure on him. maybe it's all in my head. i hope he doesn't feel pressured, but it would be REALLY nice if he was PTd by the end of the week. just in the daytime though. he's not ready for nighttime training.

  • Good Luck! How old is your LO?

  • I personally would never do this as I do think its setting yourself up for disappointment.  Kids will be potty trained when they are ready and what I have experienced is that when I pressure my kids, they just pull back and refuse to go on the potty.  I don't know how old your DS is by why the rush and pressure?

  • my son is 2 years and 4 months old. i can understand why it seems like i'm pressuring him to do it in a week. i guess i'm just feeling like i don't know how else to do it. i don't know how to potty train while i'm working. i'm open to any ideas though. you see, i'm alone in doing this. my husband is on a homeland security mission for a year so i get to handle it by myself. fun stuff, huh?
