How often do you sterilize?

I have been sanitizing and sterilizing my bottles and nipples after each use but I was just talking to my sister and she told me that washing them in hot water and soap is enough and that I don't need to sterilize. What does everybody else do?

I rinse them in very hot water after every use and wash them in the dishwasher 2x a week

I wash bottles in the dishwasher and boil the nipples after every use.

I sterilize my bottles et al. after every use. I usually wait until there are 4 or 5 dirty bottles until I wash them up and sterilize them all at one time.

We sterilize each time. But we have a microwave sterilizer that takes a whopping 4 minutes all told

Hot (and I mean hot) water and soap after each use. Occasional dishwasher if I'm about to run it.

Microwave sterilize once to twice a weeks

we sterilize after every use. I usually wait until I have a couple of bottles. I usually wind up sterilizing every day. I also have the pump to sterilize and I use that almost every day.

My pediatrician told us to sterilize anything that goes into LO mouth once a week.
