Mirena strings and sexy time ??'s

1st sexy time since LO was born...success for me...YAHOOOO, but sorry DH....didn't make it.

He could feel the threads and he said it kind of felt like a razorblade....not that bad, but poking.  I read on other posts...he shouldn't be able to feel them.

I just got it on Thursday.  My Ob didn't mention anything about coming back to shorten them.  She said over time they'll soften and move to one side I'm thinking.

Should we just try it again other times and see if it keeps happening...then call to get them shortened?  Is that all they do?

    Eeep!  Razorblade?  That is far from sexy.  Sorry I have no advice, I'm getting mine next month.

    I got the Copper T years ago, and when I went back in to check placement my OB trimmed the strings just in case.

    If your DH can feel them again, I would call and ask to have them trimmed.

    My DH could also feel mine, he was saying the same thing that something was poking him. Now he can no longer feel them so I assume they have softened. I have had mine for a bit now though.
