My DD is still taking 3 naps a day most days. Although I think she may be dropping down to 2. Today she has not napped at all! She's crabby but not sick or teething.
We've been on one nap a day for 8 months but some days are no-nap days. They suck and he's falling over from exhaustion by 5 (just when we have to leave the house for school), but we get through somehow!
We had a day like that yesterday. Right now, she usually takes one good nap a day, but yesterday- she sat up and talked to her teddy bear the whole time. I kept waiting for her to lay down and nap like she usually does- didn't happen. *shrug*
Yep, today!! boo. My DS has been on 1 nap a day since 12 months old, but lately its hit or miss. He'll be fine and happy without his nap until about 6pm when he starts to lose it and has to go to bed early.

I can't believe you're still on 3 naps a day -- wow!!
DS has been on 1 nap a day since he was 12 months old, and he has NEVER missed a day. Thank God
This. I think you might want to consider at least dropping to only two, and making the morning one pretty short...like 45 minutes. Then he might give you a couple of hours in the afternoon.
If my son refuses to nap or sleep it means he's sick. And even on sick days he naps even if it's late or short. I don't think we've skipped a daily nap more than 3 times in 21 months.
We do- but usually it's our fault for not giving her the chance to nap- nap well at least.
Example- Saturday we went to the zoo & had a great time! Only problem, she slept the 20 min home in the car, which was enough to make her not nap when we got home. (Doesn't transistion well for the most part.) There was a little nap there though I guess.

Yes. Most days- DD has always been a crappy napper.
