Toddlers: 12 - 24 Months

.14 months and getting 2nd year molars

and holy crap does this suck!  Poor little bug too- all 4 are coming out & two weeks ago we both had the stomach flu, then just as that ended, a week ago she got an ear infection.  I'm sure the infection is at least almost gone now (antibiotics for a week) but still.  She walks around with both chubby hands in her mouth chewing & chewing.  Tylenol/motrin don't do much & she's not into teething toys.  Her poor stuffies get smooched, then she bites their face off like a shark in a frenzy

  • I'm the typo queen today.

Thank goodness these are her last 4 to get!  Just venting.

  • WE are going through this too..DD's hands are raw from chewing on them, we have resorted to putting her newborn mitts on her at night with vaseline so they stop cracking and bleeding...it sucks.

Have you tried the Hylands teething tablets? and DD hates teethers too but she loves to chew on her metal toddler spoons so the ones that have a plastic or rubber handle we have been throwing in the freezer and giving to her to chew on and it seems to help some.

  • ohhh poor things!  so if you're already getting the 2nd year molars, when did LO get the 1st year molars?  we're just getting our last two 1st year molars, and they haven't been easy on us... i'm dreading the 2nd years.  i've heard the canine teeth are rough too.  i hate teething, good thing they wont remember it!!!

lucky (for the last teeth). DS has very few teeth and by the time he gets them all his molars will come in. I just want teething over with.
  • DD Cut her first set of Molars right at a year, the 2nd set is coming in now...our Pedi calls them Pre Molars becasue they are the first set of them that come in

  • This scares me because we have hardly gotten a break with teething since 4 months....And his 1st set of molars just came in and were a PITA.

I know you must be super glad there is an end in sight for the teething nightmare at your house. GL:) Hope they come in quickly.

  • A got her first year molars around 10 months.  They weren't too bad.  I don't know if it's the 2nd molars that are different, or the fact that they are all coming in at once, or all our other issues that is making this so hard.... please be out sooN!!!!
