anyone with gd had steroid shots?

i know that my numbers will be elevated for about a week but it's totally freaking me out. my endo upped my insulin and i have to check back in with him on monday. just wondering if anyone else had this experience and when their numbers went back down.

    I don't have GD, but they had to wait 2 weeks from my first round of steroid shots before they would actually let me do my GD test for the first time because it could effect the test results, so I'm assuming around 2 weeks before the get back to "normal."

    They tried to give me some for my neck issues but I can't handle the way they make me feel.  The doc told me my numbers would be wonky for 1-2 weeks.

    i had gd and steroids with ds. my numbers were high for a couple days and then returned to normal.

    I am sorry- this is going to be frustrating to hear but steroids really can be HELL on your BG readings. I got put on some steroid pills two years ago because I had poison ivy on my face and in my eye (I am severely allergic to it!) I had to quit taking them and live with the poison ivy instead... my BG's were in the 400's even with about double the insulin I usually take. It was scary! Don't worrry though- just check often and keep in touch with your OB and dr who is prescribing your insulin! they will help you keep on track as best as possible!
