  They are different medications that work for a similar goal but in different ways. It is safer than giving the same med at a shorter interval.

  They are different medications, I don't know how you can OD easier like that. I would think taking the same thing every time would make it easier.

  I can see his point if you mistake on medication for the other and give two doses of Tylenol in a row instead of dosing with Motrin for example.  My pediatrician only recommended it once when she had a fever of 104...
