so I've most definitely outgrown my current bras (I did a while ago but didn't want to spend the money on new ones). but lately I've been so uncomfortable, I decided to bite the bullet and just find some relatively inexpensive larger sized bras to get me through the next 2.5 months.
so I get to VS, and they measure me... I'm between a 34DD and 34DDD. GAH! of course, they don't carry DDDs in the store, and one DD I tried on was fine and I bought it, but for crying out loud. my boobs are out of control.
But I remember a lady at a maternity store telling me that when it comes time to buy nursing bras, they like to measure you in late pregnancy and then have you buy 1-2 sizes up from that? So what size nursing bras am I likely to need? and if I need them in a DDD or bigger, any recs on where to find them?
(and yes, I realize this is not the world's most serious concern - oh woe is me, right?... but I just want easy-to-find comfy bras, darn it!)
Re: bra vent! and nursing bra question...
Check your local area for a store specializing in nursing bras and supplies and let them fit you.
The one in our area is called "boosom buddies" and they're experts at this stuff.
And... don't worry.... they make nursing bras in some incredibly large sizes!
Total score: 6 pregnancies, 5 losses, 2 amazing blessings that I'm thankful for every single day.
Yeah, I'd definitely check some specialty stores.
I'm soooooo relieved my boobs haven't grown any yet, or at least not appreciatively. I already wear a freakin' F cup. I honestly have no idea where I'm going to buy bras. I already can't stomach paying 60 bucks for a nice bra right now.
You will find nursing bras in amazing sizes trust me. I found letters I didn't even know existed...I'm currently in G cups still.
I love bravado bras. Pricey, but worth it.
everyone is different...some grow a lot in the 1st tri, some not til 3rd tri, some not until their milk comes in when baby is born..and some all of the above LOL
i grew 2 cups in my first tri... B to D...and then nothing more during the rest of my PG...and then after my milk came in, overnight i went from D to DDD (F)
if you want a bra that is similar to what you'd get at VS, then get this one from target...if you get more than $50 you can get free shipping and if you return to the store it is free. i suggest getting two sizes b/c i think they run a bit smaller than normal and then that way you get free shipping too.
otherwise, what i did was order a bunch of nursing bras from target to try on and i returned what i didn't like
