Target. I used to get them from VS but they were just too much money for not enough support. I get the Playtex brand because they come in bigger sizes and have wide straps, but I know the Gillian & O'Malley brand has some cute, inexpensive, options too.
Contemplating the snow.

The last few have been from Target....and I swear to you....they have outlasted any Victoria's Secret bra. I went there one day out of desperation for a bra (didn't have time to deal with Chicago traffic going to the mall). That was nearly 2 years ago, and that bra is still going strong!
For some reason- i can always catch them at JC Penneys when they are doing their bra sales. Usually buy one get 50% one or whatever.
SIGH- JUST after i get done BFing & weaning- my boobs finally went back to normal- I found a really great bra that I love- Vanity Fair. And then I go and get pregnant again. WAAAAAA. They are already growing- and have to go back to get remeasured. sucks.

THIS!! Ugh what a pain. I have to go buy bras now... I normally shop the VS semi annual sales and get good deals... but I will probably just go to Target this time because they are temporary.

I second JCPenney. I have taken advantage of that sale as well.
When I'm not pregnant or nursing, I usually get them at a dept store (I prefer CK or DKNY). When I'm pregnant or nursing, and am constantly getting bigger, I mostly get them at Target. I have a few nursing bras from Motherhood that are ok, but I actually really like the ones from Target, and they are very inexpensive!
On our way to 3 under 4!

Baby Boy Due This Summer!
Mostly Victoria's Secret but since becoming SAH they aren't really budget-wise anymore.
So... I've bought some at Marshall's, TJ Max, & Filene's for pretty cheap ($20 or less). Some DKNY, some Calvin Klein, and some Betsey Johnson. All were very supportive and pretty.
Good post though! I think I'll try Target and JC Penney now, too. )
Since having Emily, I have yet to stray from the Wireless Body by Victoria bras at Victoria's Secret. They are supportive and oh, so comfortable without that damn underwire and I have yet to find anything I love as much. Lightly lined and they provide full or demi coverage.
Regular bras I get mine at VS but only when they're on sale and I have coupons. Sports bras I get at Walmart or Costco depending on who has the better deal for what I need.
Victoria's Secret - I am in love with their Ipex Wireless, so comfy and pretty.
If you don't want to spend that much, I like Kohl's selection.
ETA: Yeah, now that I read all the responses, I realize all of my beautiful VS Wireless bra's are sadly packed away and I'm living in god-awful nursing tanks and bras. How I miss you, beautiful things!

I 3rd JC Penney but I also am the smallest chested girl ever =/ I bought some while pg with DD - 36A and I'm still in them but they are too big and I'm too cheap right now to buy a smaller size =/
I'm thinking of making a bra run and getting a few racer backs because not matter what brand I buy I'm constantly tugging at the straps and pulling them back up onto my shoulders =(
Kohls--I absolutely love Maidenform "One Fabuous Fit" bras, and Kohl's almost always has them on sale (what ISN'T on sale at Kohl's?). I've rarely paid more than $20 for one.
No where else sells jumbo sized bras. $35 is a cheap bra from Nordstroms <sigh>
Oh, and as a PSA.... if you have only been fitted at a department store and they tell you you're a DD or DDD... well, lets just say they have a financial incentive to tell you your size is a size that the sell, so they are not always honest. Moving up a band size is not a good alternative for a bigger cup size. I thought I was a 40DDD for years, but I was never really happy with the way my bras fit... nope. Turns out I was a 38G. Funny how no one at Macys ever told me that.
After years of frustrating VS and Target bras I finally went to Nordstroms. I has been SO worth it!
They really help you to find the perfect thing. It's been money well spent, and in the long run I save because I'm not always replacing the crappy ones.

I'm still nursing, so Motherhood Maternity. I used to be a VS only kind of girl, but I'm not spending that kind of money until I see what size my boobs end up at after I wean!

I fell in love with the maternity bras at Mimi Maternity (now part of A Pea in the Pod). They're about $35 but worth every penny and then some.
I found it here online. On sale for $20. So comfy and supportive for average sizes -- I'm a 36C.

You can always order from them and if they don't fit return them to the store- I've done that.

I, too always shop their semi-annual sale!

JCP-saw as pp, they are always on sale.
Plus, you can usually find a $10 off $50 coupon to use too.
Last time I shopped I spent $48 on 6 bras, 10 pairs of undies and 6 pk of onesies.
