I'm a wreck. Crying, anxious, irritable. When do I know the difference between exhaustion and baby blues and full on post-partum depression? I'm not usually overly emotional like this. I'm not a crier, seldom irrational and over the top. I am now. And then I get mad at myself for being this way :-( I think DH thinks I'm crazy. I know it takes a few weeks (or more) for the hormones to start settling down...should I be concerned or should it pass in another week or so?

Re: PPD? or just baby blues?
If I were you, on Monday morning, I would call your OB's office, let them know that your baby is 3 weeks old and that you are concerned you have PPD. Don't downplay how you feel, be honest and upfront.
My psychiatrist (who I was already seeing for my ADD) waited until I was almost 3 weeks postpartum to prescribe meds for me, to ensure that it was PPD and not baby blues.
I'm sorry that you are feeling the way that you are. It sucks. Plain and simply sucks. FWIW, my psychiatrist said that your body goes through almost a 4th trimester after having a baby. My son is 8.5 months old and sometimes I get hot really easily. I wonder if that has something to do with my hormones still. Don't worry though--you will feel better before that!
Again, call your OB and ask for help. They may push back a little, but don't take no for an answer--ask to be seen. PPD is real and, IMO, the sooner you can start working towards feeling better, the sooner you will feel better.
Hang in therre!
It's a GIRL!!
