So so tired

Can someone evict this baby? lol!  I know s/he will be here when s/he is ready but I'm ready now.  I don't think there is much more I can do to prepare (although I suppose I should finish packing my hospital bag).  My belly is as big as it can get (and a bit painful too) and my knees pop every time I bend down.  My fingers are permanently puffy and I'm tired.

Today I am really really tired.  Please don't think I'm complaining because I've loved this entire pregnancy.  Actually this weekend I cried at the thought of it being over soon!  However, I would like my body back.

I'm ready to leave work now and sleep for the rest of the night.  But you know what? As soon as I get home I'll clean, pay bills, won't sit down until about 8pm and won't close my eyes until midnight.  Ah well.

Re: So so tired

  • I vote for leaving work early and going home and taking a huge nap!

I headed into the twins' delivery exhausted and it was the worst thing I could possibly have done. I was exhausted from all the last preparations, and it made those first few days so rough. I couldn't remember a thing any of the doctors or nurses said because I was fighting to stay awake.

Which is all just to say-- listen to your body and sleep! Smile ...while you still can. Wink

  • An older co-worker of mine reccomended taking 3 days off before the kids were born. I really didn't want to "waste" those days, but decided to so I could run some errands that are hard to do when working and harder when you have a new baby (DMV, post office, etc.)  It was so nice to have those days to get some things checked off our list and to take a mid-afternoon nap.

Hang in there!  S/he is almost here!!!

  • 39.3 - that's crazy!  I know you are getting close, it just seem so crazy that you are almost 40 weeks!  And if it helps, I was upset about losing my pg belly, too.  Even after he was born I missed having that secret connection.  That bond.  And, oddly enough, I even missed going to all my doctor's appointments!  lol

(S)he will be here soon - I say definitely relax tonight and let K take care of you and the things that need to get done.  She might as well practice now since you will for sure need the help once the LO is here!

AAAAHHHH, I'm so excited for you!
