You take a shower and get dressed. Baby is with Daddy and smiling at him, so you frantically look for and find the camera to try and capture that (esp. since said Daddy always complains that baby doesn't like him). Baby stops smiling as soon as the camera is pulled out.
Baby freaks out, so you put him in the sling and he promptly spits up all over you...and it doesn't smell pretty. Apparently it was the 4th time he spit up in the past hour.
Yuck.
Re: The life of a mom...
When our LO spits on us or herself we always say that is her way of saying she doesn't like what we/she is wearing. We then tell her she could have just told us.
All we can do is laugh, it will get better DD is starting to spit less but still spits from time to time. Before it felt like 24/7 and sometimes i wondered how she was still gaining weight.
In the very beginning I was worried and then I took him in to get a weight check and he had gained a pound in 12 days. Yeah, not so worried anymore, LOL!
bruce never had trouble gaining either. he actually never even dropped from his birth weight. but he had really bad reflux - we often went through up to 12 outfits for him in a day when he was an infant. miserable! i think our entire flat smelled like baby puke.
