BIL and his FI want to take DD to Chuck E Cheese for an afternoon to spend time w/her. They keep bringing it up and are really excited about the idea of it. (DD is the flowergirl in their wedding in October and I think they want to to spend some quality time with her.)
I am totally fine w/the idea, and DD is fine around them, but she's never been with them alone without me there. Her exposure to them is a few hours every few weeks/months. Plus she is going through the phase right now where every time she's in public it's total tantrum central and she causes a scene.
On one hand, Chuck E Cheese might be ok since it's full of activities. But, I'm not sure, as i've never brought her there. I'm afraid DD will freak out and they won't know what to do and they'll be scarred for life.
Should I go with them? Have DH and I go with them? Let them just give it a whirl but warn them ahead of potential disaster? Or just tell them to wait a little while...
Re: What should I do about this?
Yep, this. Do they serve beer? I'd plop myself down in a booth with some pizza and a beer and let them go wild.
I'd bet she is fine for them. I find that DD is good for other people but when it comes to DH & I she is full of tantrums. Let them take her. It'll give you some time & give them quality time with her. Just be with in driving distance should you need to go rescue them. I'm sure you won't though.
