I didn't even know this board existed on here till tonight. LO got RSV when she was 9 weeks old and since then has been sick with either an upper or lower respiratory infection. We are putting the house on the market tomorrow so we can move back to Kansas to be near our families so yesterday we were cleaning and used pledge, orange glow, and a few other things. We sat her in her bouncey chair and an hour later she was crouping and couldn't catch her breath. It was incredibly scarey. We gave her an albuterol treatment and her nightly steriod (also in a breathing treatment) and since she got a little better I just sat up all night with her with all the windows open (DH painted some of the woodwork too) and listened to that cough. I am going as chemical free as possible now. I don't know what I was thinking before. I have done no research on this yet but any advice on affordable cleaning products would be great. Oh and no more freakin painting either we can do that when we move at the first of May. I'm just so upset, I feel like I almost killed my little baby with all that crap. Ugh. TIA
Re: Newbie-DS with major chemical sensitivies
You can get non VOC paint, by the way. i think it is still best to do it after you move out, but it is non-toxic.
We use vinegar and water for most of our cleaning.
