Signs of labor? Maybe TMI

I haven't had any contractions so far in this pregnancy, but the last hour I have had what feels like period pains. I have also had a little diarrhea and felt a little nauseous and now I just feel kind of crampy.  Has anyone else felt this?  Could this just be an upset stomach?  I'm paranoid bc I'm 39 weeks and don't really know what I'm looking for or to expect.  TIA

    How long are the "period pains" lasting? If they are accompanied by a tightening of your stomach that is difficult to walk/talk through and lasts about a minute, then those are contractions and I would start timing them. Hope that helps. Good luck!

    I've been having menstrual type cramps/pain for weeks now. My doc said that is totally normal towards the end and usually means your body is just preparing...but like I said, I've been having them for weeks. I wouldn't worry about them unless they get more painful.

    My doctor said cramping is normal, but when it becomes hard to breath/talk during the cramping that is a real contraction.

    I have been having the symptoms you are describing for about 2 weeks now.  It's completely normal at this stage of pregnancy.  Like everyone else said, unless it becomes hard to breathe/talk and they increase in intensity rather than go away, it's nothing to be concerned about.
