Toddlers: 12 - 24 Months

I am sort of hoping I am jinxing myself

by posting this here. lol

Last night i had MAJOR contractions. I was partly in denial that I was having them. Because really...when it comes down to it, I would like to wait until April 7...because we have Brock taken care of after that point, etc. No one will have to stop life because I am having a baby and take care of Brock.

But I have a slight feeling he is going to catch us by surprise this week...those were some major contractions, but not timeable! This is such an "on the edge" time of our life!! lol

  • I had major contractions (painful but not timeable) like that two differents nights around 38 weeks with Conrad.  Nothing happened on its own before I was induced at 39 weeks.  I had been 4 cm dilated at my 39 week appt and based on the contrax, thought I would be 6 when I was induced but I was still only 4!  I have no idea what those contrax were all about!  So you might still make it a little longer!

i could have written this one myself (except I am due 4/5)... been having contractions since friday... they last for about an hr to 90 minutes (every 10 minutes or so) but then go away... as uncomfy as I am, it would be "easier" if the little guy waits another week, then M is taken care of, i can finish up at work, have a few days off and enjoy Easter or more importantly Red Sox Opening Day Stick out tongue

  • GL!  But, dont wait too long.  Like other posters said I also had my first contractions for the whole pregnancy the day I turned 38 weeks and she was born later that night.

  • Remind me, are you a repeat c/s? What are you doing with Brock after you have Briggs?

Is he going to MDO this summer? I am so bummed that ours cancelled their summer program, but Elise will be going to Shearer Hills for their 2 summer sessions.

Yes ma'am...another csection. My mom will have Brock for about a week and a half after I have Briggs. And yes...they JUST made room for him at Coker for this summer. Brock is going to go 3 days a week instead of just 2. They were awesome about doing that, I didn't even have to ask them to make room, they just offered :). I hear Shearer Hills has a great program!

That's awesome!! I didn't even know Coker had a summer program... I had a really hard time finding one... I'm also sending Elise 3x week this summer since Shearer Hills' program has shorter hours. I'm excited; she's going to love it and I'm going to love the extra day! Best wishes to you!
