Toddlers: 12 - 24 Months

Blog readers...

I finally blogged about breastfeeding.  I've been trying to figure out a way to get people to understand why I am still nursing Parker (so many people just don't get it as they never breastfed and they don't know anyone who has).  And...I have a horrible memory and just wanted to try and preserve some thoughts...

Take a look if you're interested (link in siggy).

Re: Blog readers...

  • "He is the only one who has ever heard my heart beat from the inside." That is such a beautiful thought! Your blog post nearly brought me to tears, probably because I relate to it so much. What a lucky little boy your Parker is, to have a mommy who wants to remember it all and better yet, a mommy who loves him so much.

  • Very sweet blog! I am sure you will treasure these memories forever in your heart and now in your blog. Great job!
  • People are already questioning you??? Your LO is barely over a year old!  I breastfed until 16 months and no one ever said anything about it (which I was actually surprised about- because I KNOW they had to be thinking it).  I live in the bay area in CA and it's really accepted as almost the norm to BF for what others would think of as an extended amount of time.  Good for you!  I love that you are preserving memories through blogging.  I also try to do that- since I'm not so great at updating the baby book!
  • Beautifully written.

  • Very beautifully written.  It made me teary-eyed and brought me back to my nursing days with DS and almost made me wish I had done it longer!! :)

  • That is so sweet:) I, too, find myself wanting to remember so many little details. My first born will be 5 in May and it feels like a lifetime ago that he was tiny.

I have gotten a few questions here recently about when I am going to stop nursing....and a few crazy looks. Colin is 14.5 months and basically only nursing 2x a day (morning and bedtime). I am trying to enjoy this last little bit of nursing him. Enjoy your ADORABLE son!
