I am so confused

There is a guy who I used to teach elementary music with (rather, he taught in the same district). I always assumed he was gay based on, well, him. lol I moved away and became FB friends with him, and only then found out he is married. With two teenage children. His latest response to a post?

I dated hardwood for a short while back in college. (giggle)

Ummmmm.....

ETA: I should say that he makes oddball posts like this all the time, hence the confusion.

I ran into a friend from one of my college classes while I was pregnant who I hadn't seen in a few years. She was confused.

Also, if it is true that he was gay, but is now straight... I'm surprised he's now married. I would never date a man who was once gay.

I should add a disclaimer: I have nothing against same sex relationships, in fact, I'm a bit of a hypocrite with this subject, but thats just how I feel. There, I should be flame resistant now. hehe.

See, that's why I am confused. Nothing has changed. They have been married forever apparently (still are) and have two teenage children, yet he is always making strange posts on FB with sexual undercurrents about the same sex.

I don't think I used the best example, since only caroline and I are picking up the hardwood reference.

Maybe it's just a very open relationship? I dunno...

i guess i've just known so many gay men music teachers, so when you said you thought he was gay, the hard wood comment just clicked. and i could totally see some nerdy music man thinking it was funny. and i'm sure i'd giggle along at it. lol.

Yes, exactly! I mean, I love this guy--he is hilarious and has always made comments like this!! And then on FB to find out he's married--and has been forever--it really confused me.

Haha, maybe he does have a freaky secret sex life (swingers?).

Or maybe he's talking about something that we have no idea what it might be, but it sounds really sexual, but in reality, it's something nerdy and not sexual at all. Either way, the story is kind of funny, and you can still make up fun things and pretend that he has some weird kinky thing going on.

Haha, I just have to say that if I were a teenager, and my dad was posting about the pubic hair of the women that he dated on facebook, I would be so mortified!!

Or if he was posting about men he dated!

Or anyone he dated prior to my mom!
