Disappointed in Crystal Deoderant Stick

I've tried it for 3 saturdays in a row and I don't think that it does an adequate job of controlling odor.  It's not terrible but it doesn't work as well as traditional deodorant.  I tried a Kiss My Face deodorant but didn't like it either.  Any recs for a natural deodorant that actually works?

    First, you must use it everyday for a week to start work.  However, the crystal stick is crap imo.

    I don't remember what kind of deodorant it was, but a friend of mine switched to a natural product a couple years ago. I remember before she switched she warned us that she might smell for a few days but promised it wasn't her bad hygiene. Her body had to adjust to it for it to become effective, and I don't remember it taking long but she did have a slight odor for a little while at first. Perhaps using it for one day a week isn't giving your body the time it needs to adjust?

    Agree with luvliek. Your body needs a detox period. Also make sure you are getting enough on. Make sure your pits or stick is wet and rub on for like 20 secs. On days I'm going to work, I layer on my gudonya. I've found the two together work just as well as commercial crap. And over time my sweating has decreased ( I have diagnosed over sweating issues).

    I've been using mine for the past 4 - 5 years...the same stick. The thing lasts forever. It doesn't stop the wetness but it does control the odor. I don't sweat a lot so I don't mind that it doesn't stop the sweating.

    PP is right either your pits or your crystal need to be wet for it to work and you have to put it on immediately after your shower.

    I used it for months and hated it.  I'm now using Arm and Hammer Essentials Natural Deodorant and it's the best deodorant I've used!  It's also one of the cheapest!  Hope you find something that works for you.

    I like Oigoi on etsy a lot. It works really well. The only thing I don't like is that it is in a tin, not a stick.

    I love my Crystal.  But, the PP's are right - you have to use it consistently and allow your body to detox before it really controls the stink.  It's that way with any natural deo.  And ditto on applying it immediately after the shower.  The wetter your skin is, the better it works.
