We just moved kiddo to his room. He always falls asleep to lullabies so it occurred to me leaving them on all night might help. Then again, it could be totally annoying!!
Actually, his "sleep mix" starts with lullabies and goes to ocean sounds by the end. Maybe not so annoying...
Re: Do you play music/noise for your kiddo at night?
No, not unless he's having a really hard time settling down. We didn't want him to be dependent on music to fall asleep. My nephew fell asleep to a certain CD for the first 2+ years of his life, which meant it was next to impossible to get him down if/when he was sleeping away from home (if my sister didn't pack the CD, and/or a player depending where they were).

I could set it to go off (it's off an ipod) but I'm wondering if it might help him when he wakes.

Same here. The white noise really helps him sleep.
OH we do use a small fan for white noise (and pack it with us when we travel) but we don't use music. Just clarifying.

We're still using the cd that came w/that J&J Bedtime Bath gift set. I love it.
DD doesn't technically need it to sleep, but I did notice that when her cd player was broken and I couldn't play it, she didn't sleep as soundly (alot of tossing and turning).
This.?
