I love my kid and all,

in Toddlers: 12 - 24 Months
but when he is sick the only person he wants is me.  Most of the time I like it, but I am so sick of watching Mickey Mouse I could scream.  I think I see a Target trip in my future as soon as he goes to bed.

    Tell me about it. DD has a cold and she only wants me. The other day DD desperately wanted me to hold her. Then she sneezed and shot snot all over me. It was disgusting. But what's a Mommy to do? You wipe it off, you clean up her face, and you go back to watching whatever ridiculous kid show they want to watch for the 18th time. Hang in there!

    I know how you feel!  DS is having a serious bout of separation anxiety AGAIN and the clinginess is out of control.  It drives me insane some days.  The best part is that today he is doing it to DH.  He's always happy when it's the weekend and DH is home, but today he put on quite a performance.  And of course, I was secretly sad that he really didn't care about me...

    We moms can never win, can we?
