1st Trimester

How exactly are you supposed to "take it easy"

when you move in less than two weeks, with a toddler, and have nearly nothing packed?

Packing is basically up to me. DH works and is in school full time. No one else knows I'm pregnant, and we don't want them to.

Ick. Lol

  • We are moving soon too, dreading it.  Fortunately my DH will be able to do a lot of the packing and I will help with what I can....but still.  Ugh.

There are mover services that will help you pack up too, I haven't looked into it but it might be worth it.

  • I've been doing most of the same stuff I've done prepregnancy.  I still work out, still do cleaning in the house and what not.  I wouldn't recommend moving funiture but general packing shouldn't be a problem.  Take your time and take breaks when you need to.

  • Way too expensive. It's just a lot of little things that need packed. Sadly we still use so much though.

I'm getting a lot done today and taking breaks throughout it.

    I need a list....I like lists...

  • Get yourself down to the "bare bones" of what you have to have first.  And tackle one room at a time.  Then to finish up, it will still be a big moving day, but you will have gotten so much done ahead of time, it won't completely overwhelm you.  Good luck!! And don't hesitate to ask friends for help.  Give those strong guy friends a reason to flex their muscles!

Looks like you and I have the same EDD!

  • I hate moving. Even if you do light packing, etc., it is a total pain and it can be stressful. If you can't hire movers, you may need to tell someone so he or she can help you. Seriously! It might just take the pressure you feel to do this move by yourself. Good luck!
  • I'm on a restricted schedule too.... due to DD's premie birth. Between 26-32 I'm supposed to work and then chill at home.... this doesnt work so well but I am trying
