The Bradley Method??

Hi guys,

Wanted to know if anyone has taken these classes or knows anyone who has.  I am pretty interested in it, and was looking for some feedback, stories, etc.

Thanks,

Re: The Bradley Method??

  • Hi there!

DH and I took Bradley classes and loved them. Our birth story is being featured on The Bump's homepage. Click on Birth Stories and it's "Benjamin's Natural Birth".

Also, TayLynn here on the board is a Bradley instructor, although I'm not sure where her classes are.

In general, I've found that the more informed and educated I was on labor and delivery, the less scary it was. It's comforting to know what's coming, what's natural, what the body is designed to do, etc.

Where are you planning to deliver? We were at Boca Community and cannot say enough nice things about that hospital.

If you have any more questions, let me know!

  • Here's my own Bradley birth story

There are some Bradley teachers in Delray and Bocca.  If you need anything, I'm always glad to help another bumpie.

    Good luck to you!

  • Thanks for responding, I loved reading your birth stories, they are both very inspiring.  We are planning to deliver at Jupiter Med center. I've contacted 2 instructors near me that I found on the website.  I'll keep you posted! Thanks again!

  • Just wanted to add...I also did Bradley, attended TayLynn's classes.  I really enjoyed them, and DH too.  We had a successful bradley birth.  Best of luck!!!

This exactly! I also had a successful Bradley birth. I highly recommend the classes. I signed up for the class simply because I liked the curriculum -- it was so thorough! My husband and I took Taylynn's (Tracy) class and really enjoyed it. We learned so much and we felt so much more prepared and educated. I can't imagine having gone through labor and delivery without having learned what I did in class. I felt so empowered that I could do it!

I also gave birth at Boca Community and had a fantastic experience.

I blogged about my birth story here: https://connieandjorge.blogspot.com/2010/01/welcome-baby-g.html

I'd also be glad to answer any questions! Here's my email: conito102 at yahoo.

    Congrats on  your pregnancy!
