what do you do with LO after nursing at night?

do you just toss them in the crib when they pop off? hold them until asleep? or keep them upright for a few minutes before putting them own?

#1 had reflux and I had to keep him upright for 15 minutes following each feeding. I'm doing the same for DD but I'm not sure if it's necessary or not. What do you do?

    I burp her and once I get one or two out I put her back in her crib.  She has reflux as well.

    no reflux issue here, so once he falls back asleep eating we put him in cradle/crib. I only burped between sides if he stays awake that long.

    Mine is still so tiny and eating so often, we just sleep in bed together. Safely of course!

    I put him on my shoulder and attempt to burp him.  I let him stay there for a good 5-10 minutes, patting him on the back.  If he burps, great, if not, into the crib he goes.  He had a bit of a spitting up problem at night, because my supply is so high then.  The pedi had us elevate one end of his crib mattress 6 inches and that really, really helps!

    I burp him and then we roll over and cuddle and go back to sleep.  Bed sharing was one of the best decisions I've made since becoming a mommy.

    I used to lay DS down in the crib when he finished nursing...nothing fancy. (He doesn't nurse before bed anymore.)

    I change her diaper, wrap her back up in her blanket, and cuddle for just a couple minutes. I'd like to cuddle longer, but then I remember that my own sleep is too precious to waste!

    DS had reflux too, so we elevated his mattress (prior to that he slept in the swing). I just couldn't sit there and hold him for an extra 10-15 minutes after each feeding.

    DD doesn't seem to have reflux thus far, so after changing diaper and holding her for a minute, I just put her back down.

    DS does not have reflux, but I wait until he's switched to comfort sucking, de-latch, pop in a pacifier and put him back in his crib while he's still partly awake.
