High-Risk Pregnancy

its what I expected..

So i went into this pregnancy expecting things to go wrong. Its not that i wanted it to be by any means but none the less having a preemie puts me into high risk automatically. I got a scare back at about 19 weeks due to my son being underweight, having hypercohic bowel, me not gaining enough weight, low placenta, etc. .. that luckily all corrected itself. Then yesterday I had 3 major contractions one right after the other all over my front belly and earlier that day I had a lot of vaginal pressure for about a few hours. So now i have appointments every week, an ultrasound next week, AND hes already 50% effaced. Luckily im not even a cm dialated which is basically the only thing that was good news to me. I guess im just trying to say im tired of worrying and i hope he stays cooking for at least another 6 to 7 weeks.. stay cooking baby!

  • Good Luck! FYI- I had the exact same symptoms and an 50%effaced cervix that was slightly less than 1 cm at 29 weeks and after a few days of rest my LO flipped to breech and moved up away from my cervix. The cervix closed (though remained somewhat effaced) and the symptoms stopped. She has since flipped back to vertex and I occasionally get that pelvic pressure and strong contractions, but she is still cooking at 34 weeks 5 days. So there is hope.
