holy hair loss

about 9 weeks after delivery ny hair started falling out..now at 12 weeks it is coming out in clumps...especially in the shower...i have REALLY thick hair so you cant tell but still....anyone else???

    Yep, I could sit there and run my fingers through my hair and it would just come out in handfuls.  It won't be for long, just think of it as payback for all the hair you didn't lose during pregnancy.

    Mine started closer to 3mo and lasted about 2-3 months.  I would run my fingers through my hair in the shower and I couldn;t believe the amount coming off.  I was surprised I still had any hair left on my head.  It levels off and goes back to normal though.

    Ditto all the PPs. It *sucks* but it will grow back--eventually. I especially felt the loss around my temples making pony tails (my go to style) a challenge.

    mine really peaked at around 4 months--it SUCKED.  and now it's growing back in and I have 2 inch long hairs all over my head sticking out from the regular hair. the joys of womanhood...

    Mine is finally starting to slow down a bit. Pre-baby my hair was thin, no-body, and straight as a pin.  My pregnancy hair was lush, beautiful and full of life....now I am back to nothing.... :(

    Mine started closer to 4 months and I had several months of some clumpy hair loss and then it slowed down, but would still end up with some lovely hair blobs in the shower through about 12 months.  I think it was worse with the hairs growing back in.  I still have hairs growing in that are super short and stick out in weird places.  Oh the joys!  I'm going to be going through this cycle all over again very shortly.

    This exactly!  It was pretty amazing how much hair I would lose and I have thick hair too.  I am really loving the tuft of hair growing back in right up front where my part is. <<grumble, grumble>>

    Same thing happened with me around 4 months.  Clumps in the showers.  I thought I was going to go bald for a while there.

    Yep. It's still coming out but not nearly as much as before. I also have the wonderful shorty hairs all around the hairline....it's hottt. Very annoying.
