store gender prediction test

okay so I saw an ad for a store bought gender prediction test that "claims" you can find out the sex of your baby as early as 10 weeks.  I am just curious if any of you have bought and used it and does it really work?  I am 10 weeks and can't wait to find out what we are having but I find that a little hard to believe that a test can predict that by your urine.

  • Waste of money.

I say you are having a boy.

    I'm probably more accurate.

A test can not predict what you are having by a urine sample. If it could, your doctor would be able to tell what you're having already. Don't waste your money.. it's a scam.

  • thats what I figures however I was just curious to see if anyone actually used one before
  • I hopped over to the second tri board and asked this a few weeks ago. Some good, some bad reviews. I used the test at 10 weeks and it said girl... so we shall see!

I will say that I have to wonder if the people that got wrong results were reading it correctly though. The instructions are very specific that you have to read it at eye level. When I was reading the results if I wasn't at eye level it definately looked like it was a boy result. The instructions also say not to make any financial decisions or paint the nursury based on the results. It was worth the $35 bucks for me because I love any kind of at home test. Like I said... we will see how accurate it was for us.

When telling MIL the results she replied..."So when is the appointment where they tell you it's a girl?"    LOL  she's so cute!

  • A girl I work with bought one of these at home tests and it told her she was having a boy. She went out and bought all boy things and then had to return them because at her actual ultrasound she found out she was having a girl!!! I wouldn't waste your money!

  • We did one for fun at about 10/11 weeks. It read very clearly that it was a boy. We laughed had a good time. We went to out ultrasound this week (21 weeks) and he's all boy... lol. It's up to you... we had fun and didn't mind parting with the 30 dollars for the enjoyment aspect but we didn't go out and paint the nursery blue either.
  • For the love of God, can we go more than 4 days without someone asking this question?
