Advice, should I go away for a night?

I am so torn about this so I am asking opinions, any advice would be great.

Last Monday I came down with an awful 24 hour stomach bug and was throwing up a ton, I got better pretty fast and actually thought it may have been food poisoning but then this past Monday DH got the same thing, a little worse even (or maybe just because he is a man it seemed worse!) He is better now though, but then tonight my mom who watches J 3 times a week and had breakfast with us this morning!!! got it.

Jackson is still fine and thank goodness has not yet gotten this evil little bug yet.

The issue is that I was supposed to drive 3 hours tomorrow morning to visit 3 friends over in ft. lauderdale. I was just spending the night and driving back Sun. afternoon after brunch. I have only had one other night away since Jackson was born and I was really looking forward to a night out with some girlfriends that I never get to see.

But now I am so stressed, should I stay since J may get this at some point and my DH would be able to deal with out me but not well and now my mom couldn't help even if he did, or should I just go anyway? I will not have another chance to see these girls again for at least another year and I won't be able to have much if any time away from Jackson for the next 3 months with my DH's work.

I feel guilty going but will feel bad if I stay and he is fine..argghhh!!

    I would go.  I wouldn't cancel on an event I'd been looking forward to unless your DC was actually sick.  It may be a little harder on him if he gets it since he's a toddler, but you already know it isn't a serious illness.

    Since it's only a 3hr drive away, I'd still go. 

    You are close enough that, if DS gets it and DH can't handle things, you can come home without *too* much hassle.

    FWIW, DH and I both had a 24-hr food poisoning "bug" that my ILs got after us... DS stayed with them for the day when we were in the worst of it, and he never had anything more than a few extra-bad poopy diapers for the rest of the week. No fever or vomiting whatsoever.

    Thanks so much I really needed to hear that it was OK for me to still go, thanks!!! and GRKaters that does make me feel better, I have my fingers crossed he does not get this, poor babe already has a cold he does not need this!
