I will be flying with my childen and husband (DS #1 will be just short of 2, and DS#2 6 months). They will both be lap seated with us. I have heard that Southwest only allows one lap child per aisle d/t only one extra oxygen mask per aisle. Therefore, I believe my husband and I will have to each take a child and sit in separate aisles. This will also mean having two bags (one for each of us with diapers, etc). Anyone have experience with this?

Re: flying with 2u2
I have flown by myself with my 2u2 although one had to be in a seat so I can't help with the seating issue but I have flown with friends and their lap children and they've never been seated separately. I would call and ask.
I also just booked our tickets for May where DH will be traveling along and both girls will be on laps and the sales rep didn't mention anything about being seated separately.
Don't worry about two diaper bags... All I ever bring is one carry on (because I don't want to check all my camera equipment and laptop) and my large purse. I fit everything I need for the flight for both kids in my large purse and I had a few extras in the carry on above my head. If it's true and they have to seat you separately, they will still put you next to each by sitting one behind the other so it will be easy to pass things along as needed. You really don't want to deal with a lot of stuff while dealing with little kids.
Anyway, good luck!
Or see if you can sit next to each other across the aisle so you can pass across the aisle.
We've done 2 lap kids next to each other with no problems and we've also done across the aisle. Both worked fine.
Total score: 6 pregnancies, 5 losses, 2 amazing blessings that I'm thankful for every single day.
This! Those rows of three seats only have one extra oxygen mask so only 4 people can be seated there. If you sit across the isle, that would work. Odds are you almost 2 year old will want to do some marching up and down the isle too.
