I am (was) addicted to Diet Coke...I am now down to 2 cans a day, hoping to cut it down to one can.(if that sounds like a lot, I used to average 4-5 cans a day!) I do drink a ton of water on top of that.
What about everyone else? Have you cut it out completely or do you indulge in your favorite Starbucks everyday or every now and then? ![]()
Re: How much caffiene a day do you drink?
I drink one cup of coffee a day, and then anything beyond that is decaf or herbal.
Except on occassion when I forget and have an iced tea with lunch.
And when AF first arrives, and I'm a little bummed and a little tired, I allow myself two cups o' joe.
There was an urban legend years ago that Coke had cocaine in it.
I had a serious Diet Coke with Lime addiction for awhile. Stopped that cold turkey a bit over a year ago. Now I'm down to one cup of coffee most days. Sometimes a tea in the afternoon. With this loss I'll go cold turkey next time I'm KU.
My Blog

I too am addicted to the artificial sweeteners. I try to limit my caffeine from soda and coffee Lent helps because I gave up soda (I try to keep it going for as long as I can after Easter) but I love a tall iced tea with lots of ice and one pink packet!!! Probably a lot of caffeine in iced tea.
I am also addicted to diet coke. It was a staple in our house growing up and I just love it. I also like sweet n low in my coffee in the morning.
During my first pregnancy, I tried to quit cold turkey, but I missed it so much I decided that the diet coke was the least harmful and showed the least scientific evidence that it was harmful to pregnancies . I had about 1-2 cans a day, and bought the caffeine free diet coke for the fridge at home so I was at least being a little bit conscious. My daughter turned out just fine....she does not have two heads or 11 fingers, and she is not bouncing off the walls!
This is my 2nd pregnancy and after the first trimester, I plan to be a little less worried about the diet coke intake. I will still heat the deli meat, keep away from the raw fish, and have my tuna-melts in moderation, but I am not staying away from the diet coke again...!
