Hi, Girls!
First, the story:
So, I get to my RE's office for my follie check this a.m., and as I open the doctor's door, I hear one nurse say to the other:
"You're going to have to help me. This is my first time with the eggs."
And I'm thinking, "Ack! First time! I hope she's not involved in my procedure!"
And then I hear the words "dye" and "boil".....and I realize she's talking about Easter Eggs!!
That moment was the most fun I've EVER had at the RE's office.
The update:
My checkup didn't go so good. I know I'm still in it, but still. Here's the dealio: The nurse couldn't find Ms. Left Ovary. She tried multiple times. Ms. Left Ovary had two 11mm follies on Tuesday. The nurse says that if anything was going on in there now, follie wise, she would have been able to find the ovary. ![]()
Ms. Right ovary had one 10mm ovary on Tuesday. That ovary (and yay for that one hanging in there!) is now at 14, which is just on the cusp of where it needs to be for the IUI.
Bottom line: IUI will not happen tomorrow, unless blood work shows something unexpected. I go in for a check in the morning, and then they will advise me when to give myself the trigger, and it looks like IUI Monday morning.
All I need is one, right?
Re: Funny RE story and an update.
Funny how the word "egg' has such a different meaning for us. . . I would have thought the same thing!
I'm sorry that your news wasn't great, but you're right it only takes one (un-dyed!) egg to make a baby!
I'm sending you "follie-growing" vibes!!!!!
Thank you, RSB!
Hey, MDBeach! I'm honored to have you as my IUI cycle buddy! GL to you, too. I hope it works for both of us!
Fingers and toes crossed for you! Good luck!
Me too!

I love all of you.
And Sadie, thanks so much for reminding me that you only had one. It really helps to have a real life example of how it's possible.
RE's office just called to confirm that all my hormone levels look good, and that my LH is not surging yet. So that's good news!
It is possible with just one! I am sending you mountains of positive vibes, thoughts prayers, and follie growing mojo.
Sending hugs.
Ha ha ha!!!! I would have thought the same thing with the nurses comment! I hate new nurses digging around in my lady bits!
You only need one Joyful!!!! I pray that this one is a rockstar for you! Good luck!
It absolutely only takes one!!! I'm pulling for you!
