My goal is 3 months right now. Sometimes I wonder if I will make it that long. I could only do 3mo with DS1. We had to supplement with him so it was hard to keep going.
Luckily this time, I had to supplement but successfully stopped and now EBF. So if I make it to 3mo, I will up it a few more months!
Hoping to make it a year. I made it just shy of a year before I dried up with DD, so I feel I owe it to DS to do the same. However, things have been different this time around (easier for the most part though), and I now EP, which I wasn't planning on. It's working out fine, but I do miss the cuddle time of nursing. I'm really hoping I can continue pumping for the next 6+ months!
Well we have to supplement with formula b/c all I seem to be able to pump is like 8 ounces and my LO eats that the next morning at daycare. Just feeling discouraged today. But I'll keep it up for LOs sake!

I would have been soooo happy with 8 ounces! I'm lucky if I pump 3ounces in a day and that's from BOTH breast combined. I normally only pump about 1.5 -2 ounces :-(
I've always made short term goals so it didn't seem so far ahead. I'm so close to my long term goal of a year that 4 months is all that is left. woo hoo!
I will continue to nurse until she weans. I nursed DD1 until she was 15 months. DD2 is a heck of a lot more into nursing though so I think she will wean later. I will start pushing a bit more at 18 months if she is still nursing though. And if it gets to 2 years without her weaning I will call it quits for her. I don't think it will get to that point though.

Ditto this....I weaned DD at 15 months. DS isn't ready to stop yet, but I will by 2 for my own reasons.
My goal has always been one year. Going back to work has made it harder (not able to pump as much as he eats, worrying about supply), but summer break is around the corner, so if I can make it through the start of May, I should be golden for 1 year (end of July).
I'm up for continuing to bf some after that point, but I will NOT pump anymore, so we'll cut back to just a few times a day.
Right now I BF in the morning, pump twice at work and nurse at lunch, then BF on demand after work and pump before I go to bed. She gets a formula bottle after each nursing session and I pump enough generally for her to have one breastmilk bottle per day, with a little left over so that some days she gets two breastmilk bottles. I'm planning to drop the before bed pumping session when she turns six months old and use that time to work out in the evening. We'll see how my supply goes after that. If we're both still happy, we'll keep doing the same as before, but just have a little less pumped milk.
My goal is a year. I may go beyond that if it's still working out, but I'm already getting sick of pumping and I'm not even back to work yet so we'll see.

My goal was 6mo. coming up on it, and can't imagine wanting to stop right now. Gonna go as long as I can...so, not going to put a time frame on it anymore...
My original goal was 6 months or when he got teeth...
Then it was 12 months or when he got teeth (he didn't get teeth until 10 months)...
Then teeth went okay (he's never bitten me as hard with teeth as he did without them)...so the goal was 18 months...
Then it was my second trimester when I got pregnant...
I'm now 24 weeks pregnant, DS is 19.5 months old and I'm seriously considering tandem nursing when the new baby comes...I love BFing and cannot imagine stripping that from DS when he is so obviously not ready to give it up completely yet.
I never really set a goal, I always thought a year would be nice. I never really thought I'd get there. But here we are, 11 months and 1 week old still going strong. I said I'd be done breastfeeding by the time they were 1 but I might go a little longer if they continue to be ok with it. Right now I only nurse them 3 times a day. I used to pump at work but dropped those pumps last month. So now I nurse first thing in the morning, then twice when I get home. I have a feeling I might try to phase out the 4:30pm feeding next, then we'll be left with a morning and evening, and we'll see how that goes.
I would like to go as long as possible up to the age of 2.5. I don't know if pg will affect it, if my OB will dictate it, or if Harris will wean first, but I'm happy to go as long as he wants to until then.
My first goal is 6 months then I will go from there. Currently I only go into the office 2 days a week and work one day from home so it makes it easier. I will see how it goes once I go back to work 3 days a week. If it works then I will keep on going.
My first goal was a month, then six weeks, and now it's 3 months. I'm not too sure how I feel about the whole teeth thing, so we'll see if I make it past 3 months or not.
My goal is a year, though we have never been able to EBF. I had a breast reduction and research suggests the longer you have lactation experience, the better your supply can be in the future. I'm hoping that by keeping DD nursing as long as I can I'll get some tissue/duct recanalization and I'll have a better supply next time. Right now we're supplementing at least 10 oz. per day.
I will nurse up to two years for DD unless she decides to wean. I plan to tandum nurse once #3 comes as well. (There is really good info on tandum nursing for anyone wanting more info on kellymom.com)
