Would you let your toddler use them? My MIL went to goodwill yesterday and bought DD some shoes, a few pairs of pants and a shirt. At the bottom of the bag was a pair of underwear...for $1.99. It has a cute saying on the butt but really, who gives their used underwear to goodwill? And who buys it (apparently my MIL)? Is it the same as used CDs? I just am kind of weirded out about used underwear.
Re: Used toddler underwear
I probably wouldn't have bought it, but since you already have it I'd wash it really well (hot water, maybe a tablespoon of bleach) and use it.
Now used shoes I probably wouldn't buy nor use unless from someone I knew - illogical I know.
This. I do find it strange that I don't mind used CD's at all but used underwear gives me the heebie-jeebies. Not at all logical, but there you go!
i probably wouldn't ever buy it, but if it was given to me, i would make use of it. Ditto washing on hot with bleach if possible. A friend gave us some hand-me-down undies from her son, and i will do the same when DS is ready for them.
and i bought my first pair of used shoes for myself yesterday. EEEUC Dansko sandals for $4!!! I just sprayed them with lysol, and will put out in the sun for good measure. I've purchased used shoes twice for DS, i did the same thing with them, and he always wears socks with them.
