Are any runners having arch problems? I've been so, so lucky to have a really great pregnancy that I've been able to run a ton through, but lately my arches have been KILLING me when I run. It feels exactly like plantar fasciitis but I'm wondering if this is more common during pregnancy and what I can do about it. I'd feel lame if this is the reason I have to stop running.
Re: Runners -- Arch problems?
just monday i had really bad arch pain in my left foot. i think it was from an 18 mile run i did the week before, it just didn't show up right away. so, all day at work on monday i wrapped my foot in an ace bandage which really helped, the pressure felt great and it was nice for support, too, when i walked. i just ran this morning and didn't have any problems.
good luck!
Wow -- I never thought of that -- I can easily go 300 miles without any problems but I never thought to replace them more frequently now that I'm pregnant but it makes sense.
And, thanks everyone for the responses! I did a 5-miler and a 4-miler this week and felt a *little* better so hopefully it's something I can stretch through!
