My urine results were 518 and im in the hospital on day 5. Just wondered if anyone went through this or had a level like this and did you get out or stay in the hospital? Im about 28 weeks...Any info is appreciated!
Ok, this is strange. I am from Apollo Beach and this happened to me too.
I was only 26 weeks though...I spent the next 8 weeks on bedrest at home and Brandon Hospital. I was admitted 2 x and released again.
Let me know if you need anything. Are you at Brandon? If so, I can get you some names and such of people to talk to in the NICU, nurses, etc. Antepartum floor is VERY boring!
Thanks i appreciate it. Yes im at brandon....only time will tell i guess. How was your baby once you delivered and how early were you??? They said ideally to keep him in til 36 weeks i wonder if they will end up just taking him earlier though. He was 3 pounds on monday and measuring 28 weeks 4 days today. Hopefully time goes by fast. I know 3 nurses in labor and delivery and they have all been super nice. Its kind of waiting game they all said. Did you have to have an amnio to test the lung development or can they do that via ultrasound? I had both the steroid shots already. Thanks for all the info
they hospitalized you for 518?? i had up to 650ish and my doc said no talk of any hospitalization at all until at least 1000 or more. i was diagnosed at 20 weeks, had very high bp and low (500s) protein the whole time. wasn't induced until 37 weeks when she stopped growing (she was 4 pounds 11 ounces)
I did! I had Brendan at 28 weeks 5 days. That day I called my doctor because I didn't feel right, my bp was through the roof and no matter how much I drank I could not pee. Sorry for the tmi. Get the steroid shots, relax and let the nurses do their job. Also we are here to keep you company
eta: when I was admitted the thought was I would be on hospital bedrest. BUt my bp numbers creeped up about every 30 mins.

I was hospitalized for 900ish and high bp so I guess there are different protocols... Within 3-4 days it was up to 5000 so I think it was good for me to be hospitalized.
Anyway, I had my DD at 27 weeks, 6 days due to pre-e. I wasn't one of the lucky ones who were able to hang on for long...it was less than 2 weeks between my initial high bp (and no protein) and an emergency c-section. However, I do know of some ladies who were able to last longer... We didn't do the amnio b/c that early they pretty much assume the lungs aren't mature.
I was admitted to the hospital on a Wednesday with around 600. My bps were 150s/100s and I was getting severe headaches. My bp kept climbing and my headaches were getting worse. My pree went to severe pree and I delivered my baby that Friday at 33 weeks 1 day via an emergency c-section. It was a very scary situation but you are right where you should be (hospital). Hopefully you will be able to hold off and make it to term! Good luck!
I had sudden and severe pre-e. I don't even know what my protein levels in my urine were. My BP was super high, I had severe headaches, and I had a seizure in the hospital the day I was admitted. They held off delivering DD until I had the shots using Mag, etc. But my BP was NOT responding to meds and was 200+ over 110+, and my live and kidney function were delinging rapidly and DD started to have more and more decellerations, so they had no choice but to deliver her. 28 weeks exactly.
I hope they are able to control your BP with meds and keep you and your baby safe as long as possible!
I had pre-e, but I was never on bedrest. I was sent to the hospital on Tuesday and was told they were keeping me and that I would be delivering in the next few days. I was 33w 3d and delivered dd the following day. Good luck, I hope you can keep the baby cooking for a few more weeks.

Our goal was also 36 weeks, and we made it to 34 weeks, 4 days. We had the 2 rounds of steroid shots at 27 weeks and they did NOT do an amnio before delivery because my preeclampsia also turned into HELLP syndrome. Her lungs were ready, though, and she spent time in the NICU for severe rebound jaundice. She never needed any sort of assistance, wasn't even a feeder/grower, just damn jaundice. It rebounded 3 times!
Brandon radiology measured her at 4 pounds, 14 oz and she was 4 pounds, 6 oz so they were relatively close! Please, if there is anything I can do, let me know. I am literally about 10 mins. from the hospital every day. I know how absolutely brutal it can be.
My practice was OBGYN & Associates, and I ended up talking my way out of the hospital 2 x.
For real though, if you need anything at all, please let me know. We have an AWESOME preemie mom's group here in Tampa that would love to have you.

This for me except I had no seizure. I was fine in the afternoon but was in severe epigastric pain and vomiting at 9 pm. I lasted about 30 hours before I was delivered as my bp would not go down and my liver and kidneys started to shut down. I delivered at 30w4d and dd was 2lb 5 oz

there are many of us on here with pre-e. my urine results were in the thousands & I ended up with HELLP & an emergency C-section.
hang in there! hopefully you will be able to keep him inside for much much longer!

My numbers lingered in the 500s for a bit but then it went up to 900s. I was induced due to severe pre-e because my protein levels were 4+.
I was on bedrest (and would have remaiend) for anything under 1000.
