  • i call it a fever.  had that exact temp 2 days ago (i've been sick).  now if your temp is always around 99.5 (day after day since you've been pg) then perhaps it's your new norm...

i can always tell when i have a fever - even a slight one.  i just feel 'off'.

  • Depends on what your base temp is usually.
  • I think it is usually elevated but since I stopped charting, I don't remember
  • How do you feel otherwise? Do you have chills and feel like your getting sick?

  • My OB told me it's not a "fever" - and they're not concerned - until it's over 100.5.

  • When I was temping to TTC my BBT pre-O was always in the 96's, and then in the 97's post O. The other day when I had been up all night with a nasty stomach bug, I woke up with a temp of 99.7, so compared to my normal temps, that's pretty darn high. Call your dr if you're concerned.

  • I'd say no.
  • I was sick 4days ago, I called the doctor to see what I should do. She said when it gets to 100.4 to take tylenol (not before that point tho), then call her. I didnt have a thermometer yet so I went to sleep while i was waiting for1., when i woke up it was 100 & i had already started to feel better (so i dont know how high it actually got) &it kept going down from that point on.

You don't have to be worried unless your temp gets to 101. LO's temperature is always a degree higher, so it's something to keep an eye on. Tylenol is safe to take to reduce a fever, but if that doesn't help, call your doctor if it gets that high.
