The only thing that helps my stiff and aching body at the end of the day is to take a little walk around the track in my comfy sneakers. For some reason it makes my back ache less and I sleep better. I also just wedge a bunch of pillows behind my lower back while sitting/laying on the couch. and a heating pad! GL!
I find that a little bit of walking helps kind of get everything into alignment, and that sitting on an exercise ball is more comfortable than sitting on the couch. But there's basically no "comfortable" anymore.
as bad/uncomfy as it sounds, I sit on my exercise ball, and lay back on the couch (so my head is where my bum would sit on couch), it is the only position that brings relief
A good long walk always goes a long way, but after that I either lay on my back or on my side on the couch. Depends on what I feel like and how close a dog is to me.
But overall I'm not all that uncomfortable anyway.
The back pain is the worst! Some days I just can't get comfortable at the end of the day. Usually DH and I sit on the sofa together, parallel to the TV, but recently I've been ending up lying down on my back on the loveseat that's perpendicular to the TV because it's the only spot I'm comfortable.
When it's really bad, I ask DH for a back rub.

comfortable might be a stretch but more relaxed is accomplished in my house by warm bath, comfy pants and in bed. If I am not tired then I bring up the laptop and watch netflix stuff, or read.
I usually take a hot shower then lay on the bed with lots of pillows supporting my back, under my butt, etc. But really, it is impossible to truly get comfortable.
Since I sit all day, I try to stay on my feet as long as I can tolerate it when I get home. Then I do some pelvic tilts on all fours for about 10 minutes. During TV time (if I have TV time), I stack up pillows behind me on the couch so I'm sitting up perfectly straight and use the heat pad for a little while. I did all of these things last night and I slept much better with very little back pain when I went to bed. However, part of my back pain has been because LO is sunny-side up, so that's why I'm doing the pelvic tilts on all fours to try to get him to move. I think he may have turned around yesterday evening which could have eased my back pain a bit.
Definitely pillows behind your back if your sitting, and something under your belly if you're laying on your side. Mostly I just move a lot-- it only stays comfortable for a limited time and then you have to reposition.

I sit on my exercise ball for a while to ease the back pain, and then I can lay down on the couch comfortably! (For the most part.)
GL!!
