Re: ~*Weekly PG Check-in*~

  •

What is your least favorite thing about this pregnancy?  Almost everything. The barfing at 28 weeks, the kidney stones at 23 weeks, the adhesion pain, the feeling fat and ugly, the anterior placenta not letting me feel her kick...

Most favorite? That I'm finally getting to feel some kicks. I could just lay there and feel it all day if I could...

And as always, how are you feeling today? Achey. Going to prenatal yoga at 6 though... hope it helps.

  • Congrats again, Amethyst!  :)

Least favorite thing - the tiredness and the sickness

Most favorite thing - Getting to pick where we go to eat all the time, since I am the one whose stomach is most affected.  ;)  (Or maybe just the fact that I can eat Froot Loops without feeling too guilty.)

I'm feeling little twitches in my uterus area (like high up) and trying to determine if they're baby movements.  Other than that, not too different.

  • I'm answering the QOTW based on my previous pg as well, since it's still a little too early to experience some of the good & bad!

Favorite things - feeling the kicks, getting to see the little guy on the u/s

Least favorite - probably just how big and uncomfortable you get at the end

I'm feeling pretty good.  Still tired of eating since I'm hungry all the time and of course tired of eating the same old foods!

  • Favorite: The past few weeks DH and I have been so bonded and so in this together.  I just feel like we fell in love all over again.  Its really, really nice to be so excited about something together. Oh! And, my rack is nicer.

Least Favorite: the symptoms, although I am grateful for them.  Dead tired, so hungry, so nauseas, diarrhea (you're welcome), body aches, insomnia.  I realize that all women go through this... I just wonder if I am strong enough to do it twice.

  • Least fave:  The stupid iron supplements.  I'm on 150mg/day and blech they make me feel awful each morning.  That and that I am already up a couple times a night to go to the restroom.  I don't even want to think about 3 months from now.

Fave:  This little one is active - much more so than DD at this point.  Let's me know all is well.

No real updates.  Moving along in the 2nd tri and all is well.

  • I think I'm ready to join now! Dr. S said "we are out of the miscarriage danger zone" so I'm feeling a little more comfortable!

    mrssnflwr- 10/23/10 (guess is girl)

Least favorite thing: the worrying. DD was born 8 weeks early, so I'm just full of worries this time. I will be going in every 2 weeks from week 12-20 for them to monitor my cervix (unless I get a cerclage sometime in there) and then every 2 weeks starting at 24 weeks for them to test me for signs of preterm labor. Thank goodness for technology and proactive doctors!!

Favorite thing: Two things- 1) Knowing how cool the end result is! DD is so so fun, and we can't wait for another one. 2) Seeing how excited DH is.

  • Congrats to the new mommies!

Least fave?  Well, it has GOT to be the dang morning sickness, preggy brain, and fatigue!!! !!! !!!  OMG!!  It is really bad this time.  Could be compounded with the fact that I have two kids (three if you count DH) that reside in my home and don't give a "rat's arse" if I am sick or not.  Hmmmm....

Fave? I felt "wiggles" kick today!  Feels like someone "flicking" you on your skin.  I had forgotten that feeling.  It hurts tho'.  : |

Status:  Well.  I dunno.  I have two appts. this week, one with my OB/GYN of which I HOPE she upgrades my due date this week, and one with my "vampire doc" (Hematologist-I am hyper coagulative when high amts of estrogen are in my body...therefore, placental abruptions and retarded fetal growth are typically in my future if I don't keep my blood thin) who has to explain to me why my Lovenox shots are costing my $80 / month now??!!  (Or maybe I just need to talk to my insurance company...geeeeeez.)

  • My least favorite part of pregnancy has been the fatigue. And swelling. And backaches...

Favorite things - DH LEARNED HOW TO COOK. This is seriously a huge, HUGE achievement in our home - wish I got preggo sooner. I'm also finally getting used to the movement - despite what the books tell you, baby has not slowed down at all in her last few weeks. You'd think that she'd be out of room, but she makes it for herself.

Status update - I just had a Dr. Appt. today and have been scheduled to be induced! Surprise Looks like WildBaby will be here by 4/8 now...

  • Favorite things- I am really enjoying the feeling of anticipation this time.  Having been through the process of growing a child once, it makes me so excited to meet this one.  I am also enjoying not knowing what I am having.  It's really fun not to know the sex and picture what will happen come June.  Secondly, I won't lie. I enjoy eating desserts.  When I am not pregnant, I don't allow myself to eat a ton of sweets, so I enjoy that part a lot!

Least favorite things- Currently, trying to sleep.  I've gotten to the point where it hurts to lay on my side after a while.  I'm also going to the potty again at least twice during the night.

Status- I just had my 28 week appointment yesterday and everything looks great with the babe.  I passed my glucose test and the test for anemia.  Happy and healthy pregnancy to everyone!

  • Favorite part - feeling the baby move, eating without guilt, the little extra attention from family/friends/DH

Least favorite part - feelings so stretched and huge, lacking energy, not sleeping, peeing every 5 minutes

updates: I'm feeling down about being overdue. We're so ready for this LO to be here! If nothing else, I'll be "induced" Monday (they will only break my water to see if it starts labor since I'm trying for a VBAC). I'm anxious about the VBAC and going into labor on my own. Any spare labor dust would be appreciated!

  • What is your least favorite thing about this pregnancy? I've had a pretty easy pregnancy so far, but, if I had to pick one thing, it would probably be morning sickness.

Most favorite? The fun MH and I have been having planning and spending time together.

And as always, how are you feeling today? Good. Still having lots of Braxton Hicks, and I am getting more tired from carrying around the extra weight and being kept up a night due to kicking and peeing, but it's not that bad.

  • What is your least favorite thing about this pregnancy: I'm so early in the pregnancy that I least like the ALL DAY SICKNESS!

Most Favorite: Just being pregnant and having that little bean growing inside of me!

How are you feeling today?: Better today than yesterday. I'm just a little nauseous, but I'm having poo problems :(

  • LOVE - just about everything! this pregnancy is so easy compared to the last.

HATE - the butt pain! ever since i had my rhogam shot at 20 weeks, my right butt cheek has been sore, which makes me waddle and generally uncomfortable.

UPDATES - 3 more weeks until my sonogram to see if the placenta previa has corrected. i'm starting to rethink my decision to have my tubes tied - i really, really like my hospital and don't want to have to go to NAMC just to avoid the catholic rules of seton. i think i need to go tour NAMC to make a better-informed decision. good news is ken is more than willing to get a vasectomy if i don't get my tubes tied, so i definitely have options.

i was able to meet amethystbride's baby yesterday and just can't believe how tiny newborns are. how soon we forget! i'm excited to have my own again. last time, i was scared of holding her, afraid i'd accidentally hurt her. but this time, i think it'll be tough for anyone to pry him out of my arms! no fear this time... ahhhhhh, so nice! :)

  • Least Favorite:  I had all day sickness that lasted for like 7 weeks, being exhausted and the constipation (still having issues with that.)

Most Favorite: I can't feel the baby yet, but going for the ultrasounds and seeing the progress made over such a short period of time.  It is so amazing.  I loved seeing LO kick and punch around at this last ultrasound!  The extra attention from DH is nice too, he has been so helpful and understanding.

How are you feeling today?  I'm a little hungry right now and I am so exhausted.  I feel like I can't get enough sleep.  Overall I am good!

  • Congrats AmethystBride!

What is your least favorite thing about this pregnancy?

My least favorite thing is all the doctor's appointments. I had another mom to be tell me earlier "I hope you know this is not how it normally goes, and I hope you guys have another!" We had our 20 U/S yesterday and my newest hurdle: low lying placenta, it's 1cm from my cervix. Awesome.

    Most favorite?

I love the sound of her heartbeat. It really is the one thing I look forward to. Seeing her on the U/S she really does look perfect. Ten fingers, ten toes, everything where it's suppose to be. LOVE her.

Update: Yep, low lying placenta, we'll add that to the list of things I'm not excited about. Oh...and they gave me a recommendation to start wearing those hose thingys to keep circulation in my legs, since the swelling is increasing. I also had sugar in my urine yesterday, so I'm scheduled for my glucose test next week. *Sighs* This baby is worth all of this, I can't wait to hold her in my arms.
