I had previously asked if anyone knew of this place before starting a prenatal yoga class. No one seemed to, or at least no one responded that they had been there
So in case anyone is looking for a place on the northside of the city, I just thought I would give my 2 cents. I've been to 2 classes so far and I like it.
It's not hard core yoga by any means (and not that I really would know hard core yoga). But it is an 8 week class, 1 day a week for an hour and a half each time. Cost = $130.
The first half hour is basically a kind of info/sharing session. For example, the instructor, Jenny, just read a passage from a book last night regarding identity and how a woman may feel as a stay home mom. Then we went around introducing ourselves again and sharing any thoughts we had on the topic. Is it a bit touchy-feely, granola-y? Yes. But it is nice to hear the perspective of other pregnant women (I mean, that's why we are here at the Bump even, right? )
Then the next hour is spent doing various stretching, yoga-esque moves. You aren't going to really work up a sweat, but she does teach some poses or moves that I can see being helpful during labor.
So far, I would definitely recommend it. If my opinion changes in the next 6 weeks, I will be sure to update!
