Great news re: the cat.

The cat has now decided that he loves the baby, he forgives us for bringing him home, and that he will no longer pee on the kitchen floor.  Three months of inexplicable buttheadedness, vet visits, anger, and death threats, all over.  Like it never happened.  Awesome.
I HAVE CHILDREN.
