The first BBB in our area is opening up and I could drive up there today. It's about 45 minutes away... we don't need anything but I'm curious to see it. Just wondering if its really that much better than BRU....
I already have plans to go on Saturday!! It is supposed to be an AWESOME store. The Bed Bath and Beyond of baby stores (obviously since they own them haha). I registered with them online so I'm so excited now to go in store and adjust the registry accordingly. And they carry a lot more brands than BRU and Target and the others. More of the high end brands, so it's supposed to be sort of an in between store - in between the baby store chains and the high end baby stores. You know?
Also, I have never seen a picture of your son before except that vintage one you had up a while back. He's adorable!!!
Yes- it is SO worth the trip! Especially if you need some guidance on strollers, car seats or any other big ticket items. The staff is so helpful and they have such great things on the floor to test out. My closest one is also 45 minutes away and I have already gone there twice.

We live 90 minutes away from one and DH insists we shop there instead of BRU. They are so much more helpful, the store seems to be laid out better, and they have an awesome selection of just about everything. I love it! Go and have fun browsing!!!

Make the drive!!!!!!!! The store and staff are amazing, they are so helpful. The nearest one to us is about 45 minutes away and I would rather make that drive then go to the BRU that is 10 minutes away from my house.
Jcam - oh thanks! I haven't put up a new picture of him in ages and that one was just too cute for me to resist. I hope you have a good trip up there on Saturday! I can't believe how far along you are already!
Just to heap on the love for BBB - I definitely prefer it to BRU. In fact, we're going to register there and Target, totally skipping BRU. The staff at BBB is great, helpful, and seem really knowledgeable. They carry many brands that BRU and Target do not, and definitely being able to use the 20% Bed Bath and Beyond coupons on most items is definitely a huge bonus. They might be a little more expensive, but when I've done price comparisons online between them and Target, it's not really a huge difference (especially if you have a coupon).
Just one word of warning (or something) - you can use the Bed Bath and Beyond coupons on most items - check the small print for which ones are excluded - but they DO NOT take expired coupons (whereas Bed Bath and Beyond does). I think this is the policy for all coupons. They also accept competitors coupons, so you might be able to use a BRU coupon there too.
I Buy Buy Baby! We're about 45 minutes away from the closest one and I would much rather travel that far than shop at BRU, which is only 10 minutes away. They are soooo helpful and they have more variety.
It is so worth the trip! Love it! BBB has a better selection and is more organized then BRU. Also the employees are friendlier and actually know there stuff.
What? A Buy Buy Baby near Boston? Where? I always go there when I visit my parents in NYC. I love it and I had no idea they were opening one near here.
I registered there and I found the staff to be extremely knowledgeable. Each staff has their own speciality. I did think it was a little weird to have a single (no wedding ring) man telling me all about car seats and which were the easiest. I could tell he didn;t have any personal experience with it, but he was totally knowledgeable on what the majority of moms have reported. He actually offered to take 3 car seats out of the store and hook them up in our car, to see the difference. I loved my experience there.

It's up in Nashua, NH. It is just that we're about 20 minutes north of Boston so its only 45 minutes north of us since we don't have any of the getting out of the city traffic to deal with and live about 10 minutes from the highways.

Me? Look at you! Almost 30 weeks! How did we both get this far? hahaha
I'd never heard of BBB until these boards, but you guys got me so curious that I checked out the website. The closest store is 2.5 hours from me, so I probably won't make a special trip, but if I'm ever in that area, I will certainly check it out!
as many of the other posters have said, so worth the trip. i totally agree with the staff being so knowledgeable and friendly. they really will give you everything straight forward and not try and sell you the more expensive stuff if it's not the best. we have actually become pretty good friends with the manager at ours. he always finds us in the stroller department and chats with us forever, haha.
p.s. when i was in BRU registering (just a few items so that friends and family had options) we over heard a saleswoman ask their "registry consultant" (the one that walks though the store with you to help you pick out stuff) say "i'm looking for these bottles....xxx..., do you know where they are"? the registry consultant continues to say "beats me, never heard of them." WHAT??
Thanks! I was checking their website for Massachusetts. I will definitely be making the 1-hour trip to Nashua. We registered there for DD and they were great. Now DS is on the way so we need to go again and you saved me a trip to NY. Thanks!
Definitely a great store! There aren't enough of them around and none close to my out of state family, otherwise I would have registered there instead of BRU.
This place has such a better environment. I HATE going into BRU, but BBB is seriously just like Bed Bath & Beyond but for um...babies.
Lame. I looked them up online and the nearest store is a 2 1/2 hour FLIGHT from here. They need to start opening up more stores and fast!
Used to be the same for me, and one night I wished upon a star and the next thing I knew they were opening one up here! Honestly, I have no idea how I got so lucky that it is opening 4 months before I have my baby. I was sooo pissed when I realized they weren't anywhere near me at first.
YES! The one near me is about an hour away. I went a few times when DS was little and now that #2 is on it's way I'm planning to go next month to look at double strollers. I love it!
They just opened a second one in the DFW area closer into town. I love it. I have to pass a BRU on my way home from work and will only go there if I need something small and specific, but it's BBB all the way.
To me BRU is like shopping at Walmart and BBB is like Target.
I live in a suburb of the Dallas area. It takes us about 35-40 min to get to the nearest one. We go all the time and LOVE BBB! We registered there and BRU for family out of town w/o a BBB. We prefer BBB over BRU...service has been great and selection, cleanliness and layout is so much better!
p.s. for other Dallas area mom's..they are opening up another BBB in Frisco off Preston/Gaylord in July this year! I'm sooo happy...just a 15 min drive soon.

Excellent. I think we might just go!
