Should I change my username?

I keep thinking about changing my user name. When I signed up for the knot I used the same screen name that I always have but I never thought I'd be an active poster on the bump and the nest.

I would hate to lose my posting (I hate change) but that's really all I can think of why I shouldn't. 

I don't know what else I could use?

    I keep thinking I should change mine, too, since its my name.  I dunno.  I wish they'd just let is change it.

    I know! 

    I'm in IT and all the sites we support allow for user name change. Crying

    I've been considering changing mine, too.  I prefer a bit more privacy, and my current one doesn't allow for that.

    I changed mine, though I hated to start over on the post count.  my old user name was the same as my email user name, and when I googled it, i was shocked to see everything knot/nest related pop up.  It's only slightly different now, but I feel a little better about it.

    I think I should too!  I googled mine and posts came up.  I am conflicted.

    I have thought a lot about this also! I signed up for the Knot just to look at something they had for members only and never thought I would use the account. I would have never used my name or an OLD e-mail addy.

    If you decide to change your username, it's not a big deal. Lots of women have done that in the past and we adjust and know who you are. I would do it if you are concerned at all about privacy.

    I'm doing it once I figure out what to change it to! I'm not creative.  I'll take suggestions.  Same dilemma, wish I could get rid of the goog.

    This is why I signed up too. I didn't even know about the discussion boards until a year or so ago. I've thought about changing mine as well since it has my last name and its more "family" than "me"...I'll probably leave it though...I don't usually put anything too terribly personal anyway :)

    I have felt the same way, my name is my maiden name but it has prevented me from posting more because of it and like we have witnessed recently this is NOT a private board. I post alot more if I did change my username... I just haven't done it.
