First day back at work - Success!

Of couse everything was chaos all around but overall went well. I picked up right where I left off at work, it all came flooding back to me pretty quickly. I got to pump twice and didn't forget any supplies. The morning prep to get Abby to MDO and Emily ready to go to the sitter took forever but that's because I didn't get enough prep work done the day before. Once we were out the door the drop offs went flawlessly. I really wasn't stressed at all about leaving the girls because I'm confident in my decisions.

However. When we got home, it took awhile to unload the car and Abby got in the front seat, opened the center part and took a penny. No biggie, she plays with pennies all the time (I know, bad mommy, but she's always been good!!!!) As we head back in she says "Oh No! Where penny?" - not "I drop it penny" I said "Abby, where is penny?" She said "Yummy Penny!" I thought she was kidding or something so I said "Abby, give mommy the penny" and she leaned over my hand with her mouth like she does to spit something out. Great.

Now, being an ER nurse I don't. get worked up about much and her swallowing a penny didn't really bother me, but I did the right thing and called Treehouse just to make sure I'd be doing things their way. The triage nurse reassured me that they agree - no airway problems or stomach issues and it's OK to wait for it to pass.

So now I'm waiting on a $0.01 poop.

Wow I can't believe Emily is 3 months already!!! And yay for your first day back going well. My first day back with Ryan was much easier than with Megan... I think like you it had a lot to do with being confident in my decisions this time around. And wow, that's crazy about the penny. I let Megan play with the money in the front console at times too Embarrassed
