We are expecting a boy and are having a hard time with names. We originally liked Jack because that is my grandfather's name, but whenever I mention that name (my fault for telling people) they say how popular it is. We don't want our DS to be one of 10 Jack's in his school.
What do you think? Do you know many Jacks?
Re: Is Jack really that popular?
He will be one of 10 Jacks/Jacksons/Jaxons in his class. I know a TON of little Jacks and Jacksons.
But at least it's a nice, classic name. I'd take a Jack over a Jayden ANY day.
(read it. you know you want to.)

I agree with the special meaning. My grandfathers name is Jack and so when my Mother had my youngest brother in 2004 they named him Jackson Wyatt.
