Daycare mamas - questions about packing bottles and lunches

What do you pack your child's lunch/bottles in every day?

DS is going to be watched by a friend for the next week and so this means packing his lunch and bottles.  Do you have a cooler you put it all in?  Do you use tupperware for the lunch?

Also, what kinds of things do you pack for lunch?

TIA!

Re: Daycare mamas - questions about packing bottles and lunches

  • I pack J's stuff in a little insulated cooler with an ice pack in it.  I don't usually pack him lunch, but I do pack snacks. The things I pack are cut up fruit, string cheese, yogurt, applesauce, mum mums, avocado, leftover dinner, graham crackers.

  • we have this little cooler thing for her bottles, and we put one veggie and one fruit into small tupperware bowls. They keep a box of her oatmeal at the school.

  • Tegan doesn't eat solids yet, but I put her bottles in a small insulated lunch box to carry them to the daycare. They have a fridge in the infant room where they keep the bottles.

  • I have a diaper bag from similac that is tall enough for bottles.  I put the bottles in that with 2 ice packs (one on each side) and there is enough room for his lunch (puree) which is one of those take and toss things someone got me for a shower gift.  It's labeled with his name...so are the bottles.  There is a fridge there at daycare, so I put them in there when we get there.  I drive 40-45 minutes to work/daycare, so I def. need the ice.
